People ask me pretty often what Boston Made actually is — is it one company, a group of companies, an app, a media thing? Honestly, it’s all of it. Here’s the rundown, as plainly as I can put it.
Boston Made, Inc. — the parent company
Boston Made, Inc. is a Delaware C corporation, and it’s the parent company and publishing source behind the whole family of brands below. It started as a smaller idea and has grown into the umbrella for everything I’m building.
BOSSTOX
BOSSTOX (bosstox.com) is our markets and financial-information property — a place to follow market data and financial news, under the Boston Made banner.
Beacon Federal Partners
Beacon Federal Partners (beaconfederalpartners.com) is run by my brother, Daniel Strickland, as Founder & CEO — I work alongside him there as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer.
Fenway Web
Fenway Web (fenwayweb.com) is our web development and digital-services arm. It builds and manages the sites across our own portfolio, and also does the same work for outside clients.
Boston Made Pets, the Newsroom, and the App
Rounding out the family: Boston Made Pets (bostonmadepets.com), where this whole thing actually started; the Boston Made Newsroom (bostonmadeinc.com); and the Boston Made app (app.bostonmade.com), a guided discovery experience across the whole ecosystem.
What’s still early-stage
Not everything in the portfolio is fully live yet, and I’d rather tell you that straight than let you assume otherwise. Kingswell Strategic Ventures, Lumo (a cash-for-gold connector concept), and Pupwear are all still in development — real projects, just not finished products yet.
Why I’m building it this way
I’d rather build a handful of things well and be honest about which ones are still in progress than oversell anything. This page — Keep Up With Nate — is where I’ll keep you posted as each piece moves forward.
